Gabriela Andrade: The Weekend

This weekend I went to visit my sister, Rosana! I was looking forward to seeing her and was also excited/nervous about taking the subway. Lucky for me a very kind teacher at my school Ms. Soo offered to come with me to meet Rosana. I met Ms. Soo at the bus stop, and took bus 9501. This is a red bus, and usually that means that it is an express bus. So you do not take too many stops. With traffic, we arrived at The Express Bus terminal around 6:45. I went to the terminal in front of the mall and finally found Rosana. We were both very excited to see each other, and we both agreed that it felt like we were never separated, just began where we left off. We missed our direct bus to Pyeontaek ( were Rosana lives ) so we decided to get a snack. We shared a roasted corn, something that is sold almost everywhere. Unlike the one elotes in Mexico, they are not covered in mayo and queso anejo, probably for the better.

Our bus ride was about an hour and a half, and we hurriedly went to Brooke's ( Rosanas friend ) going away dinner. The next day and night were spent cleaning Rosana's new apartment, and preparing for the arrival of our parents.

At 6:00 PM we met Solomon ( a friend from high school ) at the subway station . Rosana took us to a restaurant, where you cook your food in front of you. Not sure what the name is :/

After dinner we walked around the city, and then by the river. We came across a group of adolescents singing songs from church. They were very friendly and gave us free drinks, wet naps and a book mark.

The next day we woke up at six in the morning to continue cleaning Rosana's new apartment! By ten in the morning we were at the bus station, on our way to Incheon to pick up our parents. The bus ride was about 2 hours, and finally we found our Dad roaming around the arrivals section.
