Gabriela Andrade: Getting to Know Seoul

On Saturday we decided to tour Seoul. We found a bus that takes you to all the main stops. The first stop was Deoksung palace. It was built during the Choseon dynasty. It is located in the heart of Seoul. It is amazing how huge the palace is, when it is surrounded by huge current business buildings.

How we spend much of our time

Next we went to Namdaemun Market ( 남대문시 장) . A huge market full of small shops. It reminded me of a swap meet. We walked around, bought some souvenirs and had some amazing street food.

After the market we visited The War Memorial of Korea. It was pretty neat, we could visit real exhibitions of armored vehicles and aircraft's.

Next was visiting Namsangol Traditional Korean Village. This was also really interesting because they had replicas of how houses used to be built. Since it was Chuseak they had many festivities going on.
